The national internship initiative of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria has been launched for the fourth consecutive year with the support of A1.
All interested interns from CWBB member companies can apply for joining the initiative by July 30
For the fourth consecutive year, A1 supports the National Internship Initiative of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria. The program is one-month long and throughout August the participants will receive professional training from leading specialists in various fields. The program, “Stay in Bulgaria,” which is taking place for the eighth consecutive year, is part of the National Internship Initiative of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria. Last year, more than 90 interns took part in it. To date, a total of over 10,000 representatives of Generation Z have interned at CWBB member companies, and over 25% have transitioned to a full-time position after completing their internships. This year, the program will once again be conducted online so that more young people can join, regardless of the location of the company where they are interning. Those interns from CWBB member companies interested to apply for the program can do so by July 30.
The program supports the personal development of young people through a series of professional trainings, aiming to encourage them to build on the knowledge and skills, gained during their education. In this way, participants will better prepare for the next steps in their careers. In August, they will participate in a series of specialized trainings by established experts on presentation skills, job interview preparation and performance, effective business communication, building their personal brand on social networks and project management, respectively. In this way, young people will be able to upgrade their knowledge and get to know different business models in Bulgaria.
This year, the program includes a visit to the offices of some of the member companies of the Council. This way, the interns will gain more direct access to the real business environment of some of the leading Bulgarian and international companies and will meet leading specialists and experts who will share more about their professional experience and the important projects they are working on. After getting familiar with the way of work and actively participating in the trainings, the interns will receive a formal certificate for successful completion of the program. The trainings will be held online and will last up to 2 hours. The official opening of the program this year is scheduled for August 2. Within the initiative, the interns will have the opportunity to engage in volunteer activities.
The support for the National Internship Initiative of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria is part of A1’s overall strategy for supporting the career start and professional development of young people. The company has a number of youth initiatives, including an internship initiative, a Summer Academy for high school students and outstanding graduate students, partnerships with leading educational institutions, etc. In A1’s internship program, dozens of young people, on the threshold of their careers, have the opportunity to expand and upgrade their knowledge and skills in a real business environment. Since its launch in 2005, over 1,200 interns have been part of it, and 33% of them have continued their career in a full-time position in the company. In 2022, over 120 students from various specialties will be part of A1’s internship initiative, as part of its eighteenth edition. The A1 Summer Academy launched its fourth edition at the beginning of July this year, providing 20 gifted students and high-school students with interests in various professional fields with an opportunity for practical experience on real business projects. To date, 90% of the participants in the previous three editions of the Summer Academy have been given the opportunity to join the A1 team permanently.
