On the occasion of the International Women’s Day 8 March Eng. Vanya Kaneva-Minkova, Executive Director of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria, noted in the show “Business Start” on Bloomberg TV, hosted by Jivka Popatanasova, that “The pandemic has extended the women’s working hours up to 12 a day in some cases and increased care for children and loved ones“.

“Ladies are on the front line and over 80% of those working on the front line are women. Over 75% of healthcare workers are women. Over 90% of educational and social activities are being carried out by women again. Over 95% of the people involved in cleaning are also women”, Kaneva said.
