The sixth edition of one of the most significant initiatives of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB) – the Leadership Academy “Successful in Bulgaria” ended with an emotional and memorable ceremony. 45 participants in the Leadership Academy 2019/2020 received their certificates for successful completion of the training from the members of the Management Board of CWBB.
The event took place in the artistic and cozy space of Site Media Consultancy and was attended by members and supporters of the association, participants in the Leadership Academy (LA), as well as graduates of previous editions of the training. The moderator of the ceremony was Tsvetanka Mincheva, head of the working group of the Leadership Academy and a member of the Management Board of CWBB.
“So far, more than 250 women have graduated from the Academy, but the current class is the first, who study partly online due to the emergency situation with the coronavirus.” highlighted Dr. Eng. Boryana Manolova, chairperson of the Board of CWBB and CEO of Siemens Bulgaria, in his welcome address to the graduates. According to her, both the trainers and the participants were faced with an unprecedented situation, but they managed to organize and adapt extremely quickly and successfully, without affecting the quality of training.
Dr. Eng. Manolova reminded that the crisis with COVID-19 was the topic of the final presentations of the participants in this year’s edition of the Academy. “Ladies graduating from the Leadership Academy 2019/2020 gave very useful ideas related to organization of business processes in the new realities to achieve sustainable efficiency of both small businesses and large corporations. We are very pleased with the decision of the graduates to create a Club of Graduates of the Leadership Academy (the so-called alumni organization) “, she noted.
During the ceremony, participants in this year’s edition shared, that what will remain for them from LA ” Successful in Bulgaria” of CWBB are not only the practical knowledge and valuable career advice, but also the new contacts and friendships that arising during the training.
Leadership Academy ” Successful in Bulgaria” started in 2014 as a free training program of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria, which aims to prepare women in middle management positions and owners of small business for the next steps in their professional development. The training modules are intended to develop leadership skills, initiative and entrepreneurial spirit of the participants. The members of CWBB are get involved in the trainings, sharing their valuable experience. The patron of the initiative is the mayor of Sofia Mrs. Yordanka Fandakova.
The Leadership Academy ” Successful in Bulgaria” received “Investor in Human Capital” award during the 13th annual awards for responsible business at the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum.
