Princess Miriam de Ungria presented an exclusive selection of jewellery from her author’s collections particularly for ladies from the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWWB). The exhibition took place in the cosy atmosphere of the UniCredit Bulbank International centre and was visited by dozens of managers of large companies, members of the Council.
All the princess’s jewellery is handmade, has a unique design and elements. They are made of 18 carat gold, silver, natural stones and diamonds. The new collection “ Sea World “ and the best-selling “Heart and Roses” have led to enhanced interest in Bulgaria.
“I believe that every woman can wear jewellery from early morning to late evening with different clothes and on various occasions”, shared the daughter-in-law of Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, who also gave an educational lecture on diamonds and the creation of a successful jewellery brand.
Princess Miriam de Ungria has been interested in jewels and their production from an early age. She graduated art history from Complutense University of Madrid. She specialized in gemology and jewellery design. In addition to be a designer, she is a gemologist, who assesses precious stones.
The Princess created her first collection in 1991. A few years later, she was already working for the world-renowned Spanish company Carrera y Carrera. She is among the founders of the Spanish association of Jewellery Appraisers, she has been its president over the years and currently a member of the board of directors.
In 2003, Princess Miriam became the godmother of the unique diamond “The Star of the Belgian crown”, with which she crafted a 150-carat necklace, which is a skilfully plaited diamond with white glitter.
The Princess’ own brand – MdeU, started five years ago – at the same time as the Council of women in Business in Bulgaria was established. Her models are distinguished by their own personality and elegance and set new trends in jewellery art. She has presented her collections for the third time in Bulgaria. A week ago, Princess Miriam was honoured with the most prestigious fashion award in Bulgaria „Golden Needle“ in the category – jewellery designer.
