Process optimization is the A and Z of every business, noted Milena Dragiyska, CEO of Lidl Bulgaria
Market positions are won by innovation, not through imitation – at the process, product and sales levels, as well as through human resources and corporate social responsibility policies” highlighted Milena Dragiyska, CEO of Lidl Bulgaria during the fourth training organized by the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria.
Training on Supply Chain Management was held on January 29th at the office of Siemens Bulgaria. In her presentation, Milena Dragiyska draw attention to the optimization of processes and the participation of all employees in it. “It’s the A and Z of every business, because every year has something to change,” said the CEO of Lidl Bulgaria. Proper management of the supply chain prevents waste from an early stage. Each of the elements is important – from attention to raw materials and packaging through defining the range and choosing suppliers to logistics and managing the goods in stores”.
Milena Dragiyska presented in details Lidl Bulgaria’s approach in promotional campaigns planning of certain products. Their choice is related not only to the passport data of the product – price, weight, margin, but also to its market characteristics – how interesting it is, is it relevant to the season, what kind of customers it targets. This is always discussed when planning promotions. Ordering goods for our thematic weeks has a time horizon of 9 months ahead, which is a big challenge because trends, tastes and customer preferences change very dynamically “, she added.
The effect of “regulatory factors” (e.g. the introduction of the standard „ Stara Planina “) and the competition response to price changes in basic raw materials also provoked questions by participants.
The next training of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria will take place on 26 February 2020 at the office of Siemens Bulgaria, 2 Kukush str., speaker is Ani Hira, consultant business development and creator of „HUGA BG“ EOOD.
