The members of CWBB met with the chairperson of the National Assembly Ms. Tsetska Tsacheva and vice-chairman of PP GERB Mr. Tsvetan Tsvetanov
Ms. Tsacheva accepted the invitation to be patron of a round table on questions of security and resilience in the Bulgarian business and politics
The Council of Women in Business and Bulgaria (CWBB) is going to organize a series of round tables, devoted to current issues of politics and business. This became clear during the meeting of the Management board of CWBB with the chairperson of the National Assembly Ms. Tsetska Tsacheva and vice-chairman of PP GERB Mr. Tsvetan Tsvetanov. The ladies of the Council visited the Parliament, invited by the deputy Ms. Irena Sokolova.
On the meeting the chairman of the Management board of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria Dr. eng. Boryana Manolova told about the results and the impressions of the delegation of the organization during their visit in the European Parliament and the European commission, in June, in Brussels, invited by Bulgarian MEPs (members of the European Parliament). She expressed her personal admiration for the high level of the organization of the visit and the discussions with leading European representatives, among who is the Bulgarian commissioner Kristalina Georgieva.
Ms. Manolova reminded that during her visit the members of the Council presented the Declaration of Sofia, accepted during the Global Forum of women leaders, organized in May together with UNESCO. “We are happy that the document which calls for the encouragement of gender equality in all spheres of life, received many good reviews and assurances, and that we can rely on the support for its further promotion outside the Bulgarian borders”, she noted.
Ms. Manolova announced that the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria will organize a series of round tables, devoted to the topical issues in Sofia in the autumn. The chairperson of the National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva accepted the invitation to be a patron of a round table, relating to matters of security and resilience in the Bulgarian business and politics.
A day earlier, during a business lunch with the Energy Minister Ms. Temenuzhka Petkova, became clear that Minister Petkova will support, as a patron, a round table on the issues of women in energy.
In response to the invitation Ms Tsacheva noted that she is impressed by the precision with which the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria succeeds to find the pulse of the day with its suggested topics for discussions. ”The questions you asked, related to the gender equality, with the possibilities of realization of women on the labor market, are a part from the general debate for the European values that comes to the fore today”, she noted.
This is the second meeting of the members of CWBB with the chairman of the National Assembly Ms. Tsetska Tsacheva. With her idea and proposal was organized the visit of the Council in Brussels.
