The Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria participates for the first time in the largest exhibition for employers in the country “Trainees 2016”. The event is organized by the Career Center of the Technical University – Sofia and was officially opened on 13 April.
The competition is part of the Council’s National traineeship program “We are staying in Bulgaria”, through which it aims to show young people that our country can offer valuable professional development, according to Boryana Manolova, Chairman of the Board and CEO at Siemens Bulgaria.
Young people were really interested in visiting the stand of the Council. Among the most frequently asked questions were how to participate in the “Innovators of the Future – Trainees 2016 ” competition and what opportunities it would provide for them at the beginning of their careers. The initiative aims to encourage and support young people to stay in Bulgaria and find employment and professional development.
Bulgarian and foreign students holding bachelor or master degree, pupils in their last year in the school or just young people with business sense and creative ideas are entitled to participate in the second national competition “Innovators of the future – Trainees 2016”. The participants in the contest could apply in the following four categories: ecology and urban environment; next generation financial services, innovation and technologies, transport and logistics.
The winners of the contest will be awarded a 2-month paid traineeship in some of the biggest companies in Bulgaria from the public and state sector in the summer of 2016. The projects that win the first place in each of the categories will be awarded with a special prize provided by the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria – a visit in European Parliament in Brussels.
