The National Council for Equality of Women and Men at the Council of Ministers awarded the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria with the Distinguished Mark for significant achievements in the effective implementation of the policy on equality in Bulgaria for the second year in a row! The award ceremony will be held on April 26, 2023.

CWBB unites over 200 corporate, individual and associated members who support promoting the professional and personal development of women in Bulgaria, with the main priority being the creation and implementation of policies, good practices and models for equality of women and men in social, professional and personal development.

The recognition was awarded for the Council’s achievements and the successful projects about:

• Raising awareness about good practices, models and solutions promoting partnership between local government, businesses and civil society to overcome social imbalances;
• Developing and implementing innovative activities to achieve gender equality;
• Establishing women leaders through giving visibility of the successful models for their personal, professional and career development;
• Supporting young talent to develop in Bulgaria.

The main goal of the Distinguished Mark is to recognise the efforts of more and more institutions and organisations, as well as encourage competition between them, which in turn will lead to more effective policies for achieving equality between women and men in Bulgaria.
