- The Council becomes an official partner of the first aid mobile application
The Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria becomes an official partner of iHelp – the first mobile first aid application in Bulgaria. The application creates a care network bringing family, friends, professional rescuers and all iHELP users together in cases of emergency.
“The Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria, which shares the principles of CSR and compassion, decided to support the iHelp’s mission,” said Mariya Mavrudieva, executive director of CWBB. “As our members share the same values, we believe we could contribute to widening the reach of this mobile phone application, which helps people,” she added.
“Every one of us, not only the doctors, are responsible for human life. Our message is that if the society takes responsibility and helps, there will be more saved lives,” stated Hristo Hristov, co-founder of iHelp Bulgaria. He calls for building a culture of mutual assistance and is grateful namely to the social responsible companies that support his mission.
According to Hristov, iHelp could have a huge added value to the 112 emergency telephone number. The application has two functions: I need help and I help. “We actually create a mutual help network where each participant is a volunteer,” explained Hristo.
Last year Hristov also organized a campaign to educate 5,000 parents how to give first aid. This resulted in a mutual help network of 1,800 persons in Sofia.
