The General Assembly of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria elected three new members of the Management Board.
The Chairwoman of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria and CEO of Siemens Bulgaria Dr. Eng. Boriana Manolova explained that the number of members of the Management board has to be increased due to the expanding activities of the Council. The three new members were elected unanimously by the General Assembly. The new members are: Milena Dragijska, CEO of LIDL Bulgaria, Maya Peycheva-Takeva, Country HR manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Iliya Garkov, Vice president and General manager for Bulgaria at Dundee Precious Metals.
Due to her professional duties which require long periods of business trips abroad Mrs. Valentina Dikanska is no longer member of the Managing board.
The Council’s annual report of activities for 2017 was presented to the General Assembly. Special attention was paid to the most successful edition of the leading initiative of the Council so far – Leadership Academy 2017/2018 which had a record number of participants – 48.
Another success story was the 2nd Global Women Leaders’ Forum under the patronage of EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Digital Society Mariya Gabriel. The forum brought together in early June leading representatives of national and international institutions, companies and non-governmental organizations from Bulgaria and Europe to outline the challenges of digitalization and highlight the skills of the future.
National Internship Initiative, the monthly meetings with politicians, public figures and international representatives, as well as the afterwork events of the Council in 2017 also received an excellent feedback.
The Executive Director Mariya Mavrudieva presented the priorities and projects of the organization for 2018. These include next edition of the Leadership Academy, as well as continuation of National Internship Initiative, working group activities, monthly meetings and afterwork events.
