The successfully established initiative of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria gathered 23 principals from schools in Sofia and the region.

Module 3 of the Leader Academy for school principals, organized from the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria, was held with the cooperation of Nestle Bulgaria and faced the principals of 23 schools in Sofia and the region with the challenge to perfect their mentoring and couching abilities.

„I want to thank the colleagues of Nestle for the hospitality and for the preparation of this training, which is from great importance for our participants. When we have good mentors, who are showing us the right direction, especially in childhood, there is no way we don’t achieve success”, said in the opening of the session Valentina Dikanska, executive director of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria. “I am hoping that today’s training will enrich your professional experience with new tools, which will be useful for your personal and career growth, as well as the one of your teams and students. The good manager not only requires, but also listens. Today you will develop your skill not only to coordinate teams, but also to listen to them”, she also added.

The Academy for school principals is focused on developing of leadership skills, encouraging initiative and entrepreneurial spirit. The modules, which the principals go through, are logically bound and successive, for the conduction of Module 3 “Mentoring and Couching participants” are using skills, accumulated in the first two modules and added further inspiration and team spirit for the execution of their engagements in the future.

The lectures of the Leader Academy are proven specialists from the management of human resources areas, as well as top managers with proven experience in the management of Bulgarian and international companies. The program for qualification of school principals is a sequel of the already established Leader Academy of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria, which is being held successfully for third consecutive year and is orientated towards the teaching of leadership and so called soft skills for women in medium manager positions and women entrepreneurs, developing and managing their own business.
