The Council took an active part in the traditional Junior Achievement Bulgaria initiative “Manager for a day”
The Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria took an active part in the traditional campaign, called “Manager for a day” and initiated by Junior Achievement Bulgaria. Young talents had the unique chance to “take the director’s seat” in some of the biggest companies in the country, such as Siemens Bulgaria, SAP Bulgaria, Saint-Gobain Weber, Nestle Bulgaria and others. Talented youths were in the leading position of chief executive officers and financial directors, R&D, product and department managers.
“One of the primary missions of the Council is to facilitate and enhance the development of the young people, providing them with opportunities for a successful realization within the county”, shared Mrs. Dikanska, CEO of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria. “Via the initiatives such as “Manager for a day” by Junior Achievement Bulgaria and the National Internship initiative by the Council, we inform high-school and university students about what are their opportunities for develppment of successful carrier in Bulgaria”, she added.
“We often observe that nowadays the big companies look somehow inaccessible for the young people. However our day-long experience proved the opposite. We got the possibility to gain some useful knowledge and in the same time to feel the atmosphere of the real business world. Initiatives like these encourage young people and in particular last-year students abroad to come back and seek for their professional realization in Bulgaria”, shared participants in the initiative.
“Manager for a day” is one of the most popular campaigns of Junior Achievement Bulgaria. It is held every year in more than 100 countries worldwide. In Bulgaria this year more than 1000 students participated and visited over 300 Bulgarian and international companies and institutions.
