The application process within the first forum in Bulgaria that will recognize inspiring achievements for diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and in society has started.

The Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB) in partnership with the European Investment Bank are confident that businesses in Bulgaria have a lot to share about the participation of women in upper management and leadership in organizations as well as good practices for achieving equal opportunities for all and avoiding discrimination.

“Diversity is key to the success of the society we are part of. There is no doubt about this in the business, and the results of companies that promote diversity, equity and inclusion prove that. Let’s be active and tell the stories behind that. Sharing the initiatives that are changing society and the business environment today are a springboard for the next generation of leaders,” says Tsvetanka Mincheva, Chair of the Board of Directors of CWBB and CEO of UniCredit Bulbank.

Share your inspiring diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives so that together we can create awareness and recognize the achievements that are changing businesses, the work environment and our society for the better.

Who can participate in the contest?

Individuals, companies and organizations that operate on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria or the effect of their activity is realized on the territory of Bulgaria may participate in the application process by submitting an entry form or by being nominated by a third party, according to the procedure described in the terms.

What are the categories?

The contest establishes awards in the following 5 categories in which nominations will be accepted:

1. An inspiring initiative for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
2. An inspiring employer initiative for supporting working parents, families, and children
3. An inspiring initiative for overcoming stereotypes and inclusion of minority groups and people with disabilities
4. An inspiring initiative for empowering the next generation of female talent
5. A company champion in representation of women in management and leadership positions

The deadline for submitting applications is October 15, 2022.

Participation in the contest is completely free.
