The future entrepreneurs participating in the BASE Business Academy, which continues in Blagoevgrad, got acquainted with the topic, Market Research. Boryana Velikova-Tosheva, entrepreneur, co-owner and managing director of AKVABAR and a lecturer at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, presented the main principles of market research.
The lecture provoked a lot of interest among the participants, who had the opportunity to understand what stands behind the terms “innovation”, “added value”, “market applicability”, as well as to practice what they learned about preparing and conducting market research.
Boryana Velikova-Tosheva focused on how to create new products or services that contribute to social change, which is necessary for the development of the environment and consumer behavior and bring benefits to society.
The participants actively took part in the innovation competition, where they presented great solutions in groups.
Using real-case studies from the “FRESHKO” drinks, the future entrepreneurs tracked the path to success: from the risks and conditions related to idea generation, to the individual stages of business development and expansion to validating the market, the problem, the business idea and the product. Finally, everyone had the opportunity to taste the delicious and healthy juices produced by the speaker’s company, AQUABAR.
About the lecturer:
Boryana Velikova-Tosheva is the co-founder of the only company in Bulgaria for cold pasteurization of food and beverages under high pressure, AKVABAR OOD. With the help of innovative technology, her company produces minimally processed, more natural and healthier products.
She completed her graduate education in Germany with a bachelor’s degree in administration and management from the University of Konstanz, as well as a master’s degree in European studies from Humboldt University. After gaining valuable experience abroad, she returned to Bulgaria and worked on international projects in the public and private sectors.
In her spare time, she is a lecturer on Social Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Economics at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and happily shares her experience with young entrepreneurs.
