The third edition of the National Internship Initiative “Staying in Bulgaria” of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria begins

- A challenge to the participants is a material with a topic “Portrait of the Successful Person I Know”
For the third consecutive year, the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB) launched the National Trainees Initiative “Staying in Bulgaria”. It is aimed at the youngest future professionals and will give them a chance to prove their qualities and skills, to enter the business world and to have opportunities for development, a suitable environment and a stimulus for realization in Bulgaria. Patron of “Staying in Bulgaria” is the Bulgarian MEP Eva Maydell.
This year, the Council has prepared an attractive challenge for all those who want to make their first career steps as trainees in some of the largest Bulgarian and international companies, starting the National contest “Internships 2017”. In order to participate in it, the youth should prepare a material entitled “Portrait of the Successful Person I Know”.
“Success has many different dimensions, that is why we believe that with our new challenge to all ingenious and creative young people we will be able to provoke them to understand what success means to them, what they are striving for and what they want to achieve in the years coming. For every young person who has just started his/her career, it is very important to discover their values and to receive support and inspiration to believe in himself. This is one of the main directions in which the Council has been actively working for several years – to assist the future professionals in their development and their realization in Bulgaria, said Dr. Eng. Boryana Manolova, Chairwoman of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria and CEO of Siemens Bulgaria.
This year’s challenge for the participants in the National Contest “Internship 2017” is to tell about a successful person they know. Forms in which they can do it is a presentation of up to 10 slides, video coverage of up to 2 minutes, a comic book, a poster, an essay, etc. The main criterion for the evaluation will be the convincing and in-depth content as well as the originality of the presentation.
The deadline for application is August 15, 2017, the candidates can submit their creative works on the Council’s website under the section “Projects – National Internship Initiative 2017” (https://womeninbusiness.bg/кандидатстване-за-нси-2017/)
Among the awards in the competition are visits to companies members of the Council, career counseling from leading HR managers, vouchers and others, and the first-prize-winner will receive an invitation from the patron of the initiative Eva Maydell to visit and be an internship in the European Parliament in Brussels.
The National Internship Initiative “Staying in Bulgaria” is the program with the widest profile of internship opportunities in all economic sectors in the country – finance, energy, public administration, healthcare, manufacturing, high technology, services. It provides a chance for young people to prove their qualities and abilities, to enter the business world, to have opportunities for development, a suitable environment and a stimulus for realization in the country.
In 2016 alone the number of trainees within “Staying in Bulgaria” is nearly 1000, and the number of people employed from them after is approx. 30%.
