The Council of women in business in Bulgaria unites its efforts with Technical University–Sofia for realization of joint program for career development and successful implementation of young technical specialists in Bulgaria.

Preparations of highly qualificated professionals that will support long-term sustainable development of science and business in Bulgaria is main priority for both organisations. As a part of that mission today was signed cooperation agreement between The Council of women in business in Bulgaria and Technical University. It aims to help carrier orientation and successful realization of students in TU-Sofia.

“The cooperation with Technical University-Sofia is logical continuation of our efforts, united in National internship initiative “Staying in Bulgaria”. We strive to achieve by it the main mission of The Council of women in business in Bulgaria, in particular to create conditions for successful realization of young people in our country”, shared Valentina Dikanska, CEO of The Council. “We will provide the opportunity for the students to gain practical experience in some of the most elite international companies-members of The Council thanks to cooperation program. By involving the students in our contests and initiatives we will support future professionals to reveal their potential and their motivation to stay and grow in Bulgaria, enabling their contribution for technology improvement of our country”, she supplemented.

Because for the Technical University-Sofia the success is a tradition!“, have shared prof. DScTech eng. Georgi Mihov, rector of Technical University-Sofia.

The national internship initiative “Staying in Bulgaria” is the most extensive initiative in the country which purpose is to support the young people to accomplish their potential in Bulgaria. Bulgarian and international companies, members of the Council of women in business in Bulgaria, work together for creating favorable environment and stimulus for the young active and educated people to start their career here in Bulgaria.

The initiative is focused to students in Bulgarian Universities, Bulgarian students in other countries, foreign citizens with interest in internship in Bulgaria, and students from 11/12 grade of middle-education schools and professional educational establishments. Every year over 1400 interns began their professional path in companies-members of The Council. 30-35% of them stayed on permanent position after the end of internship.

The campaign “Staying in Bulgaria” started in 2015 and launched series initiatives of the Council, focused on young talents in Bulgaria. In 2016 the project grew including participants of 11 and 12 grade, and also it was expanded with new opportunities for internship, including EU parliament in Brussels.
