Huge interest in the forum “GENergy: How Different Generations Build Success”, organized by the Networking Group of the Bulgarian Business Association. The topic of generational differences as an opportunity for efficiency and success in business attracted the interest of about 80 ladies. The event was hosted by the International Center of UniCredit Bulbank, where the CEO of the bank and Chairwoman of the Bulgarian Business Association Tsvetanka Mincheva welcomed the guests.
“It is very important to create opportunities for the exchange of experience between our members and the unification of this community that we represent. That is why we have an actively working Networking Group, which is at the heart of today’s event. The topic of young people and generations is something that has excited me for years, I have been working on this topic throughout my career. I am proud that both in our company and in the Council, we give many young people, from interns, the opportunity to start their careers and develop in Bulgaria. At the same time, the topic of how the world is changing is very exciting for society – we live in a time when representatives of so many different generations will have to work together in one place and achieve success,” shared Tsvetanka Mincheva.
The event continued with an inspiring lecture by Vladimir Borachev, a business leader, professional coach and educator, who shared his ideas and practical advice on motivating and managing people in different age groups. Borachev emphasized the need to adapt to the changing environment and the importance of creating strong and flexible teams that can adapt to the current business world.
“Regardless of how old someone is, there are factors that are valid for every generation – family; respect; leaders who can be trusted; resistance to change; desire for better professional self-esteem in the workplace; desire to receive regular feedback. When hiring people, we should not divide them by what generation they are, but by what their attitude towards life is, the desire to work they have, their inner motivation. I believe that it is extremely important to take the time to understand what kind of people are in front of us and to have individual meetings with each of them, ”advised Vladimir Borachev.
The forum continued with a panel discussion, in which the moderator was the journalist with many years of experience – Anna Tsolova, and good practices were presented by Alexandrina Karabasheva (Manager “Business Development and Innovation” at Arte.Doc), Zornitsa Yankova (Director “Human Resources” at Aurubis Bulgaria) and Milena Organdzhieva (Managing Director of MSD Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo). All of them shared practical approaches for motivating and uniting teams with professionals from different generations.
Partners of the inspiring event were UniCredit Bulbank, Titan Zlatna Panega and L’Oréal Bulgaria.
