LEADERSHIP ACADEMY “WE SUCCEED IN BULGARIA” is one of the first educational projects of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria and it is an emblematic program for the organization.

The academy is a six-month training course, divided into six segments – each consisting of two days, dedicated to the development of the personal and professional skills (soft skills) of the participants. It was established in 2014 by the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria as a training program for leadership skills.  It was then developed and aimed at the career expansion and growth of women in average management positions or those who have their own businesses. During the first 9 years the initiative was run under the patronage of Yordanka Fandakova (Mayor of Sofia from 2009 to 2023), and for the tenth anniversary Ivanka Shalapatova – Minister of Labour and Social Policy, took over.

Since the beginning of the program over 400 ladies have successfully completed their training in it. 

In 2016 the Leadership Academy was awarded the first prize in the category of “INVESTOR IN THE HUMAN CAPITAL” by the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum. 

Participating in the program is completely free of charge for the ladies, thanks to the support of the member companies of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria.

Within the academy, the participants have the opportunity to learn about modern practices related to personal and leadership development and to gain valuable experience from the lectors – established professionals in various business fields as well as representatives of the member companies of the Council. 

The program “We Succeed in Bulgaria” of the Leadership Academy includes thematic modules: Emotional Intelligence, The Business Model ‘’YOU’’, Influential  Presentations, Assertion and Influencing Abilities, Giving and Receiving Feedback, Entrepreneurship and Managing Change.
