On July 8, 2025, the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB) organized its traditional summer cocktail party for its members in the beautiful setting of NV Tower. All 100+ attendees had the pleasure of enjoying the hospitality of the NV Tower hosts and the catering they provided, as well as fresh cocktails from Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria and sweet treats from Prestige. The feeling of comfort and sophistication was enhanced by the professional decoration by Tsvetni Idei and was extremely conducive to new acquaintances and active networking.

After the welcome address by the Chair of the Association’s Management Board, Tsvetanka Mincheva, Hristina Staneva, Executive Director of the CWBB, introduced the new members of the board, thus launching a new initiative – members who have joined the organization in the last six months to share personally what inspired them to become members.

The special guest at the event was Captain Raina Koseva, commander of Bulgaria Air’s Embraer E190, with over 10,500 flight hours on three types of aircraft and over 20 years of experience in aviation. The discussion with her was led by Irena Bushandrova, Country Manager for Bulgaria at Pedersen & Partners and member of the BWA networking group, and some of the topics covered were:

– Beyond stereotypes: The female pilot;
– Motivation for all: From “It can’t be done” to “It can be done”;
– Balance in the clouds: Between career and family;
– The freedom to be where you dream of being.

Raina managed to inspire the audience with her success story, the challenges she has overcome, and her belief that when you love what you do, success comes naturally. With her authenticity, she convinced all the ladies that women can assert themselves in professional fields that are not traditional for them, and that it is up to them to earn respect and admiration from everyone.

The time allotted for the meeting was barely enough for the numerous questions posed to the charismatic Raina Koseva, and it flew by with a lot of positivity, shared stories, and a colorful summer mood.
