Representatives of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWIB) from 23 to 25 June visited the business capital of Italy – Milan to participate in a series of meetings with partner organizations working towards the empowerment of women in the business world.

The delegation, led by the President of CWBB – Tsvetanka Mincheva, met with representatives of AIDDA Lombardy, part of a leading Italian organization that supports and promotes the professional development of women entrepreneurs. Over the last three years, the two associations have been partnering, sharing experiences and best practices.

The ladies of the LWVB were also pleased to meet with representatives of Valore D, another prestigious Italian organisation dedicated to promoting gender equality and diversity in the workplace. Discussions focused on the successful initiatives of both organisations and potential opportunities for collaboration.

”We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with Valore D and learn from their experience in promoting gender equality,” said Tsvetanka Mincheva after the meeting, adding that their extensive experience and wide range of initiatives have the potential to adapt and implement similar programs in Bulgaria.

The delegation also took part in the closing event of Valore D’s mentoring program, implemented in partnership with UniCredit Group, where Tsvetanka Mincheva was a speaker and spoke about the role of women and the economic benefits of their more active involvement in the higher levels of companies. She also shared personal stories from her experience as a mentor.

The visit to Milan underlines the commitment of the WSEW to promote international cooperation and the creation of joint initiatives and programmes that can benefit women entrepreneurs in Bulgaria and Italy.
