Business Academy for Start-up Entrepreneurs BASE Pernik’s module 2, held on November 15, was dedicated to the development of an entrepreneurial idea. The lecturer, Sonya Demireva, is a former Sales Director at UniCredit Bulbank, head of the BASE program at the Council and the Administrative Director of the organization.
The lecture began with introductions from the students and their intentions and ideas for entrepreneurship. The participants got acquainted with the path and processes from the start of an idea to its practical implementation, the research stages, the market environment, the foreseeable risks and how they should be reflected in the business plan. The difference between a business idea and an entrepreneurial opportunity was also explored, as well as the different factors such as the environment, industry, markets, people and risks, and the leading motivation for overcoming these challenges.
Mrs. Demireva emphasized the need for every future entrepreneur to be confident in the advantages of their product or service, as well as in the needs the product or the service meets. In the second part of the topic, the participants were divided into teams and worked on predefined cases whose results they presented to the whole group.
