On October 31 at 11 am in the Granite Hall of the Council of Ministers, representatives of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria – Tsvetanka Mincheva, Chair of the Management Board of CWBB, Lidia Shuleva, member of the Management Board of CWBB, and Gergana Ivanova, member of the Management Board of CWBB, upon an invitation by Ivanka Shalapatova, Minister of Labor and Social Policy, will participate in the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between CWBB and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (MLSP). The goal of the document is to contribute to the promotion of the professional development of women in corporate businesses, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as at the decision-making level.
The Memorandum marks the beginning of cooperation between CWBB and MLSP to support the successful implementation of policies on gender equality. Some of the specific steps for its implementation included in the document are:
· Organization of joint events and initiatives in the field of gender equality;
· Organization of trainings, meetings, seminars, round tables on the topic with the participation of both parties;
· Development, publication and dissemination of analyses, studies, research, forecasts, and programming documents related to the topic;
· Organizing, conducting and participating in joint international initiatives, projects, and campaigns on the topic of equality.
During the short ceremony, Mrs. Ivanka Shalapatova, Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Mrs. Tsvetanka Mincheva, Chair of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria, and Mrs. Diana Miteva, President of the Women’s Forum Association, will deliver speeches.
The Memorandum of Cooperation is an important step towards a better future of equality and professional development of women in Bulgaria.
