The event will recognize the good practices in diversity, equity and inclusion in the work environment of the companies on the Bulgarian market

This fall for the second year in a row, the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB) in partnership with the European Investment Bank (EIB) will organize its National Awards to recognize inspiring achievements in diversity, equity and inclusion.

In 2023, we are once again giving a platform to initiatives that transform our workplace into an environment where everyone is important and valued regardless of gender, race, age, background and education, and share good practices to achieve equal opportunities for all and prevent discrimination.

Awards will be given in 4 categories:

1. An inspiring initiative for diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace
2. An inspiring initiative for overcoming stereotypes and inclusion of minority groups and people with disabilities
3. An inspiring initiative for the integration of young people and fulfilling their potential in Bulgaria
4. An inspiring initiative for empowering the next generation of female talent in businesses

Teodor Radonov, Head of the EIB group in Bulgaria, Lidiya Shuleva, Managing Partner at Business Intellect EOOD, Krasimira Hadzhiyska, Chief Operational Director at Nova Broadcasting Group, Zornitsa Rusinova, Chair of the Economic and Social Council of the Republic of Bulgaria, Venelina Gocheva, Publisher of 24 Hours, and Radostina Chaprazova, Director, Arete Bulgaria Foundation, are the members of the jury this year. Each of them is an inspiring leader and a visionary with a clear position on diversity and equity. We believe that their objective assessment will help us highlight valuable projects and share with society the steps and initiatives for achieving equal opportunities for all and eliminate discrimination.

One of the participating initiatives will receive a Distinguished Mark from CWBB for outstanding achievements in building a diverse and inclusive environment.

The competition will be open for applications in September 2023.
