The company welcomed the interns as part of the young.LEADERS.talk events within the Council\u2019s National Internship Initiative. Their purpose is to enable the young people to meet their role models \u2013 from leaders and top managers of leading companies to young and successful professionals and entrepreneurs, and to draw lessons from their personal stories.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit the interns got familiar with the company\u2019s history and its business. \u201cLufthansa Technik Sofia\u201d started 11 years ago with 200 employees and their number today is 1 200. The company is developing very rapidly and has 8 aircraft service bays.<\/p>\n<p>Georgi Stamboliiski, quality inspector, spoke about the company\u2019s core business. The young people were very impressed to see a plane repair. They were very curious to learn more about it but also asked questions like \u201cIs it dangerous to use mobile phones during a flight\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-7643 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/womeninbusiness.bg\/new-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/lufthansa1-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"lufthansa1\" width=\"264\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/womeninbusiness.bg\/new-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/lufthansa1-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/womeninbusiness.bg\/new-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/lufthansa1-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/womeninbusiness.bg\/new-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/lufthansa1-958x719.jpeg 958w, https:\/\/womeninbusiness.bg\/new-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/lufthansa1-800x600.jpeg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 264px) 100vw, 264px\" \/>Georgi Stamboliiski said that for the company safety comes first and the planes are the most secure transport. \u201cThe aviation is developing faster than the IT industry and we are like the surgeons \u2013 we have to learn every day in order to keep up with the new trends\u201d, said Stamboliiski.<\/p>\n<p>The career opportunities and the open job positions at the company were also presented to the interns.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-2490\" src=\"https:\/\/womeninbusiness.bg\/new-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ostavame_v_Bulgaria-289x300.jpg\" alt=\"ostavame_v_Bulgaria\" width=\"186\" height=\"193\" srcset=\"https:\/\/womeninbusiness.bg\/new-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ostavame_v_Bulgaria-289x300.jpg 289w, https:\/\/womeninbusiness.bg\/new-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ostavame_v_Bulgaria.jpg 319w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 186px) 100vw, 186px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For the fourth consecutive year, the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria has been organizing the National Internship Initiative \u201cStay in Bulgaria\u201d. The program is oriented towards the youngest professionals and will enable them once again to prove their qualities and skills, to get involved into the real business and to find opportunities for development along with suitable environment and a stimulus for their professional realization in Bulgaria. The initiative is under the patronage of Mrs. Eva Maydell, MEP.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In 2018 the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria launched its Young.LEADERS.talk series which takes place within the Council\u2019s National Internship Initiative.
