BASE Lovech’s Fourth Topic Focused on Skills for Preparing and Conducting Market Research

Last week, BASE’s (Business Academy for Start-Up Entrepreneurs) fourth topic in Lovech was dedicated to market research and was with lecturer Boryana Velikova-Tosheva. Boryana is an entrepreneur, a founder of AQUABAR and a lecturer at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.

She presented in an interactive way how market research is prepared and conducted, as well as what is behind the terms innovation, added value, market fit.

A special emphasis was put on how to create new products or services that contribute to social change that’s necessary for the development of the environment and the consumer behavior and bring benefits to society.

The participants of the Academy for Entrepreneurs took an active part in the innovation competition, where they presented great and innovative solutions in groups and received fresh prizes.

They tracked the path of success – from the risks and conditions related to generating an idea, to the individual stages of business development and expansion, validation of the market, the problem, business idea and product to real examples and practical case studies for the “FRESHKO” juices. Finally, they got to taste them with great pleasure and enthusiasm. 

About the lecturer:

Boryana Velikova is a co-founder of the only company in Bulgaria for cold pasteurization of food and beverages under high pressure, AQUABAR OOD. With the help of the applied innovative technology, minimally processed, more natural and healthier products are produced.

She completed her higher education in Germany with a bachelor’s degree in administration and management from the University of Konstanz and has a master’s degree in European Studies from Humboldt University. After gaining valuable experience abroad, she returned to Bulgaria and worked on international projects in the public and private sectors. In her spare time, she is a lecturer on social entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Economics of Sofia University “ St. Kliment Ohridski” and happily shares her experience with young entrepreneurs.
