The participants in the forum will discuss important topics related to the promotion of green transformation and the contribution of women
This is the second joint event of the two organizations
What is the role of women in promoting and accelerating the Green Transition? How can they contribute to sustainable change through their diverse functions in the economy and society?
Leading representatives of the business, non-governmental, education and social entrepreneurship sectors will discuss these and other important questions during a conference organized by the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB) in partnership with Konrad Adenauer Foundation – Bulgaria. The event will be under the theme,”The Diverse Roles of Women in the Green Transition”, and will be held on October 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the NV Tower (59 Doctor G. M. Dimitrov Blvd, Sofia). Invited guests include members of the CWBB and the organization’s Alumni Club, foreign ambassadors, like-minded people of the Council and its causes.
Conference delegates will shed light on the role of women as drivers of green innovation and sustainable change in our societies and economies. The results of a national survey on the subject, carried out by the agency, Trend, will be revealed.
“Our goal is to enable companies and organizations that are already working towards this transition to share their practices and ideas and to inspire the members of our organization, as well as our many like-minded people and partners, to find their place in their diverse roles as a leader, entrepreneur, parent, to make this transition sustainable together”, said Mrs. Tsvetanka Mincheva, Chair of the Board of CWBB and CEO of Unicredit Bulbank.
The forum program includes 2 panel discussions focused on key aspects of the Green Transition. The first panel, “Innovations in the Green Transition”, will bring together representatives of leading companies in sectors such as energy, mining, technology, who will talk about good practices and innovations that enable the even fuller inclusion of women in the transformation towards a more sustainable and future-focused economy. They will discuss how changing the context and the transition to green and sustainable practices are changing stereotypes and creating new opportunities for women’s exposure and inclusion.
The second panel will focus on the diverse roles of women in the Green Transition – in business, in the family, in education, in social and public life. They will provide answers to important questions such as how women are already influencing the accelerating transformation through a variety of roles in personal, professional and social contexts. Participants will share good ideas and practices that can inspire more women to be aware of the opportunities they have and change attitudes towards the green transition in the family and other social systems they belong to.
The event will be held with the support of Dundee Precious Metals, Unicredit Bulbank, Siemens Bulgaria and M-gaz EOOD.
The conference is the second joint event of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation within their partnership. More information is available here.
