In August 2022, the participants of the National Internship Initiative had the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge from proven experts, part of the member companies of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB).

On August 10, the participants of the internship initiative participated in the Effective Business Communication training, conducted by Veneta Kostova from A1 Bulgaria. She shared strategies for effective business communication and how they are built. Veneta Kostova emphasized the factors influencing effective communication in a corporate environment, how they can be determined as well as some good practices.

On August 16th, the third training of the internship program of CWBB took place. The topic was “How to prepare and present yourself at an interview”, led by Gergana Tsviatkova from A1 Bulgaria. As a talent acquisition manager, she advised interns on how to approach their career development and provided advice on the small details they need to pay attention to during their job interviews. She shared some at a first glance insignificant yet very important details with a big impact on making a first impression.

On August 18, the fourth training from the internship initiative of CWBB took place. The session was on Project Management, led by Yulia Georgieva. Yulia has an instrumental role at Nestle and has been key for the company’s operations. She talked about what it is like to work in an international company like Nestle and the career challenges that led her to her current position. Interns learned that things can always go wrong, but there are four basic principles that can reduce the chance of that. To be successful, the project must be completed on time, according to the approved budget, to the satisfaction of all parties, and with achieved initial objectives.

On August 23, the last panel of the National Internship Initiative of CWBB took place. The topic of the training was “Building a Personal Brand/Image on Social Networks,” led by Albena Kolyacheva. Albena is part of Nestlé Bulgaria and has years of experience in communications. She advised the interns on how to present themselves on social media, gave them guidance on how to write their posts and prepare their profile pictures. These tips aimed to help them improve the way they present themselves online. Most of the emphasis was on building a LinkedIn profile, as this is the network that interns can use to find their career path. Albena Kolyacheva ended the session by recommending several books that are useful for anyone looking for inspiration and self-improvement.
