On August 2, the eighth edition of the National Internship Initiative has started online. For the fourth time, the initiative has been supported by A1 Bulgaria.
Yet another year we are happy to see the great interest from the young and enthusiastic interns who joined the opening and the first session of this year’s National Internship Initiative.
The ladies who are an integral part of CWBB – Tsvetanka Mincheva, Chair of the Board of CWBB and CEO of UniCredit Bulbank, and Miglena Uzunova, member of the Board of CWBB and Senior Director, Human Resources, at A1 Bulgaria – can tell us more about the program. They emphasized the importance for businesses to invest in the development of young talent.
“There are many possibilities and many choices in front of you right now, many roads that will take you in a different direction. Trust me, choosing to be here today and invest your summer in an internship and acquiring additional valuable skills, as well as building a network of contacts with other young people who are looking for success just like you, is the right choice. But don’t stop there – the training program is very rich, with lots of valuable content, but it’s up to you and your own commitment to get the most of it. What I can promise you is that I and the entire team of the Women’s Council, along with all other companies, are at your disposal,” Tsvetanka Mincheva said in her address.
Tsvetanka Mincheva and Miglena Uzunova are wonderful examples of people who started their career path from trainee positions and are now in management positions in large companies. Their story is very encouraging for young people in Bulgaria.
The first training was on “Presentation skills” and was led by Ivana Botseva from A1. She emphasized the intricacies of public speaking and gave valuable practical tips for successful public speaking. The interns learned how to prepare for public speaking, how to always plan for what could go wrong, and how sweet words can be if the body language and the voice are in perfect sync.
Sessions on various topics will be held on the following days, which will be led by experienced business ladies in Bulgaria. They will talk about what they are best at and pass on their knowledge to the young talent. In addition to the online trainings, the program includes visits to the offices of companies that are part of the CWBB partner network.
