Dr. Eng. Boryana Manolova received an award on behalf of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB) for its successful partnership with the America for Bulgaria Foundation. The award was presented by Nancy Schiller, President of the Foundation. Within the framework of its joint work, CWBB conducted four editions of the business Academy for startup entrepreneurs, BASE, in Lovech, Troyan, Veliko Tarnovo and Gabrovo.

“I am excited to receive this award on behalf of the entire CWBB team who makes this project so successful,” said Dr. Eng. Boryana Manolova and invited on stage Eng. Vanya Kaneva-Minkova, who is the key driver for BASE on the organization’s side. She, on her side, invited the speakers from the BASE groups, who were at the event, as well as the regional governor of Gabrovo.

The award was presented at the annual BASE conference on June 18, 2022 in Friday Bar, organized by the America for Bulgaria Foundation with the assistance and support of the partner organizations, coordinators of the BASE program. The purpose of the conference was for program graduates from all over the country to meet, exchange ideas and find new opportunities for their businesses. The meeting was for BASE graduates from all over the country, partners, speakers and mentors in the program.

Graduates from all BASE groups, organized by CWBB, joined the event. Some of them had the opportunity to exhibit their products or services at booths.

In addition to presenting awards to the partners, the project, “MAD in BUSINESS,” by journalists Lora Krumova and Maria Yordanova was presented. CWBB continues its work with the America for Bulgaria Foundation and 4 more editions of BASE will be organized in the next 3 years.
