The Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria is launching enrollment for participation in the sixth edition of the Leadership Academy, “Successful in Bulgaria”. Leadership Academy is one of the emblematic initiatives of the Council and is a one-year training program aimed at developing the personal and professional skills of the participants.

The Leadership academy “Successful in Bulgaria” is a free of charge training program, thanks to the companies that are members of the Council.During the one-day seminars, the participants in the Leadership Academy “Successful in Bulgaria” have the opportunity to learn contemporary practices related to personal and leadership development and to learn from the experience of the Council members, who are actively involved in the various modules of the program.

The initiative is under the patronage of the mayor of Sofia – Mrs. Yordanka Fandankova and 200 successful ladies have successfully completed the program up to now.

I appeal to all ladies who want to develop their leadership potential to benefit from this opportunity. Within a period of five years of its existence since 2014 so far, the Leadership Academy “Successful in Bulgaria” has proven itself not only as a source of useful training and practical knowledge but also as a great network for creating valuable contacts. The Women’s Council is actively working with the ladies at Leadership Academy to create a community which with its capabilities to be among the engines of our economy.” Said The Chairwoman of the Council of Women in Business and CEO of Siemens Bulgaria, Dr. Eng. Who is appropriate the program for?

The leadership academy is appropriate for women on mid-level management positions and owners of small and medium-sized enterprises, who have a desire for development, openness to experience and learning, as well as awareness of qualities and building self-esteem to develop into high positions.

How to participate?

Anyone can apply to the initiative sending a CV and cover letter by 16 August 2019 at www.womeninbusiness.bg. The 40 ladies who will form the leadership academy 2019/2020 will be chosen after careful selection, supported by CEZ’s Human Resources department.

The project is being implemented in fulfillment of one of the main priorities of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria – to promote the professional development of ladies providing them opportunities for quality training, building on their professional competences. The modules of the program of the Academy, led by professional trainers of UniCredit Bulbank and other member companies of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria , are interactive and practically oriented towards construction and development of the so-called soft skills of participants – developing leadership skills, fostering the initiative and entrepreneurial spirit of the modern woman in order to take on greater responsibilities and more successful professional achievements.

The Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria is a non-governmental organization in favour of society. Its members are top managers and representatives of companies and organizations in Bulgaria. Among the objectives of the Council are the popularization of good practices and programs that encourage the professional career development of the women in the small and middle-sized business and their development in management positions; the development and establishment of professional values in the civil society, education, science, culture, technology and the support of the young specialists and talents so that they can realize their potential in Bulgaria and to help young people from disadvantaged social upbringing in their education.
